Our mother is the most loyal person in our life

Throughout our lives we meet countless people with whom we establish ties and live unique moments. With each of them we create a story and learn from each step we take. But who has not had friendships that he believed would last forever and have ended up breaking up? Or have you given all your love to a person who has ended up disappearing over time? Of all those who pass through our life there is someone with whom we have an unbreakable bond. Someone who has accompanied us from the first moment, who listens to us no matter where and when. Also who has helped us make the most difficult decisions and also the easiest. Who understands and supports us regardless of the consequences. But above all, who gives us her unconditional love: our mother.

Pandora’s 2015 campaign for Mother’s Day

The word ‘mother’ comes from the Latin term ‘mater’, from the vulgar Latin ‘matre’. According to the Royal Spanish Academy of the Language, a mother is a woman who has conceived or given birth to one or more children. But in reality she is much more than that. It means support, affection, tenderness, protection and an infinity of other adjectives. The maternal figure has been an inexhaustible source of inspiration, both in art and culture. Also in certain historical moments in which it has been a fundamental axis for social organization. For Pandora, one of its main values are taking care of women and that is why they want to show how important mothers are. This year Mother’s Day is celebrated on May 2 and although they believe that it should be done every day, Pandora recalls its successful 2015 campaign in honor of them.

Under the concept of «the unique connection» the brand refers to the unbreakable bond that exists between mother and child. They brought together a group of children, ages 6 to 9, blindfolded to find out if they identified their mothers with their eyes closed. The children were guided to their mothers and, using their senses and intuition, tried to find what they believed to be their mother. Anxiety, love and a bit of heartfelt tears filled the room as the children recognized their mothers without blinking.


A clear message from the brand

For more than 40 years they have been focusing in women and the things that made her uniques. For this reason, this time they have wanted to place such emphasis on the mothers figure, because they have been and are the engine of the world. They want us to keep in mind who we are, but above all who we were. They send a beautiful message: “all women are unique in shape, personality and heart, and so is the beautiful connection and precious love we saw this day.” That is why they want us to always remember the unbreakable bond children have with his mothers and how much they love them.
