New opening soon: a green sustainable factory based in Sri Lanka, to transform in a sustainable way the culinary raw materials in final products, which become the best Sri Lankan chutneys, sambol and curry paste, and will be sold mainly in United Kingdom.

The green concept of this sustainable factory

In collaboration with a German Sustainable buildings architect, this new sustainable factory wants to work with renewable energies, in order to have a smaller polluting impact on the rural territory. Also, it wants to be closer to the areas where the raw materials come from, to reduce transportations and pollution as well. This strategic location is in Dambulla, the Sri Lankan zone with the most vegetation, far away from the biggest cities.

Sri Lankan’ s culinary and farming heritage awareness through the sustainable factory

One of the main goals of the sustainable factory, is to create and enhance the consciousness that people have about the country’s farming heritage, especially as regards the most rural lands, as well as the Sri Lankan cuisine, which is still too much unknown and less developed.

"Farmers

This goal can be achieved only with the creation of strong relationships with all the stakeholders in the country, from the farmers to the engineers that can project this type of green factory. This should happens without forgetting the important rule that plays the education of the people, towards this sustainable concept.

Employing the women in the sustainable factory

The company wants to hire a high number of women in this innovative green factory, in order to help to solve the problem of the Sri Lankan huge women unemployment rate. This last one issue is really disadvantageous for the country’s economy, and brings as a consequence an inequality between the genres in the same one, that could be overtaken only with a change in the people’s mentality.
